Q2016 and the 2015/2016 quiz season on Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon is now complete. Here is a final summary of how the Virginia teams and individual quizzers finished in each division. Teams that made the playoffs and their final placing are listed as well as individual quizzers with a 10 point per round or better average.

Just to put the individual placings into a better perspective: The top individual quizzers from our district often don’t have high scores as compared to the top quizzers from other districts or fields. This is not because of poor performance. They are often on teams where all 5 individuals have relatively equally strong talent. The teams from our district purposefully implement a more team-oriented approach. The best example of this was in the District Experienced division where one of our teams (Seeing Double) took 1st Place. All 5 of the individual quizzers on that team finished between 33rd and 90th place out of 195 total quizzers in the division.

We were also the only District in the country to place not one but two teams in the top ten in the District Experienced Division. 1st and 7th out of 41 teams!
